Lilly’s Style

Lilly’s personal style consist of all those impressions she has gained over the years in such things as her makeup, clothing, hair style, and other personal habits.  Through each facet of her life, Lilly states to others with her style what she is thinking and feeling as well as how she wanted to be treated.  Lilly takes time to make sure that everything is just right; she is even ready a few minutes early.  In doing this, shecommunicates an attitude towards the affair and the companion with whom she will attend the function.  Unlike her friend, Marla who is unkempt and does not bother with details or personal grooming, throws on anything, raggedy clothing or whatever and arrives 30 minutes late, communicating an entirely different attitude towards her companion, the affair or both.

Lilly strongly believes she has the power to help or to hurt herself by her style, makeup and the way she dresses for a particular occasion.  At the same time, she believes that times and values are constantly changing and that what was proper 20 years ago is not necessarily proper for her generation.  Lilly believes it is up to her and her alone to determine what is proper or expected.  If she deviates from the expected, she does so at her own risk.

Finally, Lilly believes that everyone has the right to their own style and differences and to her it looks as if things are moving in the right direction as more and more people tend to express themselves real or unreal. Whatever your choice, in clothing, makeup or style remember they are perceived by others as clues to your attitudes and behavior, and they communicate right or wrong your own style as the world stares in wonder.
